yes - you want to do the automated payment from within the STATUS_URL script. *do not* do it or continue to do it from the page the customer gets to after continuing - the problems are numerouse as you note. you'll need to use something capable of performing HTTPS form submits from within your perl script. most people using perl would choose cURL, available here: http://curl.haxx.se/download.html remember that you'll need the SSL-compiled version of cURL along with the OpenSSL binaries that make that version work. the perl examples linked to at the lower right of: http://sci.e-gold.com use cURL so you can see what you need to do in your code by examining them. jay w.
