The downside is that it is one more path to check.  IDEA already has far to many 
options if 
you ask me.  It must be a nightmare for the developers to verify that they didn't 
break 
something unexpected whenever they change code.

In my opinion, there should be less options, not more. (that is, of course, as long as 
they only 
remove those options that I don't use :-)
