I don't remember exactly, but I tend to agree with Chris. I do remember that ALL of my bookmarks were gone and I can't imagine that all those files were missing. I also remember that it happened when upgrading IDEA. So, I agree with Chris: marking non-existent booksmarks in red would be nice, but I don't think that would have solved the problem. It really looks like all bookmarks somehow vanished.
If it happens again, I'll try to reproduce it. HTH.
