I agree here...for the EAP folks. But remember, most users are not EAP members - they will install each major new version. IntelliJ, have you considered using Web Start? The auto-magic updates would be very nice for regular users - and a big time-saver for the EAP members. We'd like to use it for our product...but we can't expect our users to have JWS installed.
