Unfortunately for me, I've had several situations where IDEA build #611 did not type over the braces. That's what prompted me to write the e-mail in the first place.
The team I work with uses IntelliJ exclusively - and we usually download the new EAP build as soon as it's available. The very morning I downloaded #611 I ran across situations where there were too many closing parenthesis in a statement. That's what prompted my search for a 'on off' toggle in the IDE options box, and the e-mail to this list when I didn't find one. I'm afraid that at the moment, I cannot consistently reproduce situations where I do get extra braces, and where IDEA types over them for me. I vaguely remember it having something to do with me backspacing over typos. I'll be sure to submit a bug report when I encounter a reproducible situation again. >Hello, >Have you tried this new feature? Even with this feature turned on you >should get "()" when you type it. You see, IDEA types "over" braces if >they are already matched. Or do you have another kind of problem? > >Best regards, >Mike Aizatsky. >------------------------------ >IntelliJ Software, "Develop with pleasure!" http://www.intellij.com > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] On > Behalf Of [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Tuesday, March 12, 2002 8:41 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: [Eap-list] brace matching feature > > General Discussion: > > I just downloaded the 611 build, and would like to *strongly* voice my > opinion.
