In an attempt to build GObject-Introspection with foss 2018b I came across this: /g/easybuild/x86_64/CentOS/7/skylake/software/LibUUID/1.0.3-GCCcore-7.3.0/lib/libuuid.so.1: version `UUID_1.0' not found (required by /g/easybuild/x86_64/CentOS/7/skylake/software/util-linux/2.32-GCCcore-7.3.0/lib/libblkid.so.1 I find it funny since most applicable posts on this topic date back to 2009 or so. It seems there's an issue on how libuuid creates its list of symbols; libblkid expects one with a version but there is none. Have any of you hit this already?
