Hi,

I need to do an assessment of software that can handle a small network with
about 10 concurrent users. In our office we are currently using smeserver,
but on all our internet-servers and client machines we use (k)ubuntu.

The current development in the ubuntu area we therefor find very interesting.

As i am on a 64kbps line somewhere in africa, downloading ubuntu server and
ebox will take me forever, i would like to ask a few questions beforehand:

- The ebox allows for the installation of other software (packages). Would
that mean you can freely install (for example) apache, mysql and
mediawiki/joomla/moodle ?

- Can those applications easily use the LDAP server to authenticate?

- Can backups be done incremental? or will the backup software copy all of the
user-files & config every time a backup is ran?

- Can backups be sceduled?

- Can updates be sceduled? (Apt & ClamAV & Spamassasin)

- Can the admin website & ssh be configured to allow for remote management
easily? (from within ebox)

- Can admin emails/notifications be sent to external email addresses?

Hope those will generate a lot of one-word-anwsers (as in yes)

thanx for the effort.
