Thank you so very much ! Will I be able to assign certain storage directories to specific drives? I am planning on adding a total of 3 so I can do all my media from Ebox as a PDC fileshare. Should I just mount all of them on to the same directory (/shareddrives)?

Please excuse my noobiness :) I am trying to add drives to my Ebox so I can move hard drives into it to work as a file server. I can't seem to get anything to write to the new drive? Everything saves to directories on hda5.

I installed and formated the drive and have it mounted to /shareddrives/max200ide and then went in and set smb.conf to reflect that was were I wanted the data to save. Do I have to put in an indiator to point it to that specific partition so the files will save on that hard disk?

The problem there is you may change your configuration at samba
configuration file template, that is,
in /usr/share/ebox/stubs/samba/smb.conf.mas and then restart samba
service through '/etc/init.d/ebox samba restart'. Take care of backup
your modifications since every eBox upgrade will overwrite the file
template.

You can change the mounting points for your directories and such using
'/etc/fstab' as usual since eBox does not manipulate this file.

Best regards Morgan,
