Hi,I'm a fairly new user, I looked but I didn't find an answer to this one in the archives...I have the Echo server (1.42e) set up and working under Linux. Everything there is great. I am using EchoVNC 2.00 for the viewer/desktop server. I use Fedora Core 6I can connect via the server from PC to PC with or without encryption with no problems as long as I am running the viewer under Windows (XP Pro). But I'm normally in Linux, so I tried installing the viewer under the current release of Codeweavers Crossover Office 6.0.0 ( the commercial version of WINE) under Linux, and although EchoVNC viewer installs, it won't connect to anything (Echo server or desktop server). The next step was to install VMWARE and run a copy of Windows 2K under VMWARE (1.2.1-29996) in a window under Linux. OK that is better, it connects to the echo server and will connect to the client with no problem, as long as I don't turn on the encryption. If I turn on the encryption, I get the failure notice that suggests mismatched keys or plugins. I am reasonably sure that I have the same plugin (MSRC4Plugin-NoReg.dsm), and the same key, rc4.key (When I run the viewer in native WindowsXP it all works). Do I need to add something in Win 2K or VMWare?Did I miss something? Is there a trick? Any ideas? Specifically, is anyone running the viewer with encryption under Linux and how did you do it??TIA!
