Nope, I am just using the RC4-no reg plugin as the instructions say to... But 
you are using XP under VMware, not 2K, that is one difference... I may have to 
choke up an XP license :-) I also might try the AES plugin, since it seems that 
it's the RC4 part that is causing the problems...

Are you doing encryption other than the check box in the echoVNC client 
(use 128-bit AES encryption)? I've been using this setup for quite some 
time without issues in Gentoo/XP in Vmware.
