        Heya. If you're behind a router, you won't be able to connect to a
VNC server that's *also* behind that router, using the router's IP  
address.
That's called (among other things) a "hairpin turn", and most routers
simply won't support it. If canyouseeme or GoToMyVNC says that your
VNC server is reachable from the "outside world", then it is .. even  
though
it may not be from the "inside world".

        As for the echoServer idea ... it's intent is to connect to VNC Servers
*without* needing to adjust the router. It's especially useful if  
there's more
than one VNC server behind the same router (.i.e, port-forwarding is  
okay
for one PC, but pretty awful if there are 10).
