Hello!

Thanks for having a Linux EchoServer, If I can get this to all work this will be the single reason for me to purchase a license.

I have edited the config and have the server up and running (including adding iptables rules). The server will accept connections from EchoVNC Viewers. No problem there.

I noticed that the password can only be 8 characters and the password tool truncates to 8, not very secure at only 8 but I shortened it.

Problem;

When I use InstantVNC to connect, I have the password hardcoded into the exe, I get the error message:

Failed to conect to the EchoServer.
Verify that you have entered the correct.... etc.

My config lists a single GROUP entry with password.

Any ideas?

Also, is there an option/way to start the echoserver listening on another port?

Thanks a lot!
