Mark,

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner, I've been really busy with a job change. You should be able to do this using the JAD/JAR combination. Create a package from EclipseME. The UEI specification is now available and the Sun toolkits abide by that specified (http://java.sun.com/j2me/docs/uei_specs.pdf). If you take a look at page 14 of the spec, there is an example of running the emulator using a JAD file:

emulator -Xdescriptor:example.jad

That should be all that it takes. Good luck,
Craig

Sorry if this is a bit off-topic or outright laziness.

Working with EclipseME has spoilt me in the sense that it takes care of all the nitty-gritty stuff for me. Now I have a potential client for my software and they'd like to see a demo. It doesn't sound like a good idea to make them install Eclipse, EclipseME and the Sony Ericsson toolkit. So I'm looking for a way to start my jar/jad combination outside Eclipse, just using the SE toolkit, but can't find anywhere how to do that.

If anyone knows how to do that and save me a few hours of digging it would be greatly appreciated.

Mark
