I run soffice.exe -headless
"-accept=socket,host=localhost,port=8100;urp;StarOffice.Service" but
nothing appears.
the headless options implies the invisible one
first start without -headless (should not be needed anymore for OOo2.3+)
is it ok ?
does ooo listen (telnet localhost 8100) ?
If you want to avoid the -accept connection string and let OOo start
everytime in listen mode, you may have a look at

It is an extension that has to be installed using the Tool > package
manager ot via command line
unopkg add nxOOoAutoListen.oxt
Restart OOo as normal, it is listening on localhost:8100
all the conversion work is done with invisible parameter so it will not
disturb you and let you use OOo in parrallel
