Hello,

I updated http://doc.nuxeo.org/xwiki/bin/view/FAQ/DownloadingNuxeoSources explaining our releases, branch and tag policy.

Until the next release, we are working on 5.2 branch.
Branch 5.3 has been prepared in advance but everything is merged from 5.2 to 5.3. Next 5.3.0 release will be done (as explained on the wiki) from a 5.3.0 branch, created from 5.3 development branch and will be tagged as "release-5.3.0".

If you need last source code, look at last 5.x (forget about 5.3 for now, we are just "preparing" it). If you need last bug fixes on a particular 5.x.y release, look at 5.x.y branch hosting the tag of the wanted release. If you need source code of a particular 5.x.y release, look for a tag named "release-5.x.y".

PS: use Mercurial "tags" and "branches" commands to list all available as explained in http://doc.nuxeo.org/5.1/books/nuxeo-book/html-single/index.html#d2308e9659

Best regards,

The next release, coming in a few days, will be 5.3.0 GA, and the

a final question about the above -- i have the fully-updated
versions of the various checkouts, and i see the new "5.3" branches.
does that mean that you've officially tagged those repositories as
being version 5.3? or does that just mean you've created branches by
that name that will still accept some commits before the final 5.3
release? it's just not clear to me at the moment how you're using the
tags and branches to synchronize with the final 5.3.0 GA release.
thanks.
