here:
http://www.nuxeo.org/xwiki/bin/view/Main/QuickStart_DAM
one reads:
"Install the following components. Use the package manager of your
distribution to download and install:
* Sun Java Development Kit (other JVM are not supported). It is
required to use either 1.5.X or 1.6.X. Java Development Kit (JDK)..."
most linux distros i'm familiar with don't support installing sun's
jdk simply through the standard package manager. you have to go to
sun's download page, download, install, accept license, ... you know
the drill. the wording above could confuse someone who's unused to
package management or installing java from sun.
(in fact, it might be worth linking to a separate page that shows
someone how to use the "alternatives" feature on some versions of
linux to substitute sun's java in place of the default openjdk, if
they don't know how to do that. if someone has never done that, it's
not at all obvious.)
another note that might be made is to use the absolutely latest
version of poppler-utils possible, since the newer versions have
additional functionality, as mentioned here:
http://lists.nuxeo.com/pipermail/nuxeo-dev/2009-December/000475.html
and that's about it.
