A little late, but I've been busy, I recently got a copy of Patrick
D. Murphy's Literature, Nature, and Other: Ecofeminist Critiques (SUNY
Press, 1995). He writes that one of the chapters 13: Simply
Uncontrollable, or Steaming Open the Envelope of Ideology is written
specifically for men on male practice in response to feminism in the
ecology movement ... except I haven't read it yet .. but thought that
Richard Twine, our Essex ecomasculinist, and others may be interested
.... and if anyone gets around to reading it and wants to post a brief
summary .... Also Victor J. Seidler's Recovering the Self:Morality and
Social Theory (London and NY, Routledge, 1994) may be interesting
(also unread)... its about self/society, identity/power, aparently
drawing on feminism and ecology (but not ecofeminism?).
