Call for Papers - Fall 1998 APA Newsletter on Feminism. Special Topic:
Feminist Philosophy of Emotion. The issue will explore a broad range of
issues on feminist philosophy of emotion. Papers from analytic and
continental perspectives are welcome. Among the topics tht contributors
might address are:
1. Feminist perspectives on particular emotions such as anger, self-respect,
or melancholia.
2. Considering care, compassion, or empathy as ethical or political virtues.
3. New perspectives on the emotion/reason debate.
4. The role of emotion in moral deliberation and judgment.
5. The gender coding of emotion.
6. Emotion and perception.
Submit four copies of papers (2000 words) prepared for anonymous review by
February 1, 1998 to: Barbara S. Andrew, Department of Philosophy,
University of Montana, Missoula, Montana 59812.
