while i do happen to be vegan ...i can't quite agree with your opinion that
vegetarianism and environmentalism are directly connected. it IS true that
an animal based agriculture CAN be dangerous to the environment...but its
also true that the cultivation of vegetation can be just as detrimental.
your dissmissal of omnivorous environmentalists, or ecofems, as folks who
"just doesn't have a clue" is quite unfair. as humyns on this planet...we
are more important than the animals we choose, or choose not to consume, as
unfair as that may be, humyns are in a position of power over the earth.
its what we choose to do with that power that will make the difference, not
what we choose to eat.
