It is postulated in Colin Turnball's ethnography that the reason for this
is because they have no natural predators and their religion in entirely
about giving and abundance. they don't appear to have a concept of evil or
hell. The ethnography is titled 'the forest people'. It is quite a good
read and not academically dry.
