Among Oregon's Kalapuya, the women

Do you realise that saying 'helped out' is derogatory to these women and
their actions.  It does depend on how the action is viewed.  Anthropology
is not devoid of sexism in its interpretation or its reporting.  The work
of the famous Maloninski in the Trobriand Islands stands testimony to this.
