Re: FGM - I strongly recommend "Women's Equality and national
Liberation" by Angela Gilliam in "Third World Women and
the Politics of Feminism" ed. by Mohanty, Russo, and Torres.
It puts the question of FGM and its analysis in the
larger international political realm, which I believe is
fundamental not to make some serious mistakes about
understanding the issue.
