sorry but a large part of what you are saying here sounds largely like
attempts at conversion here! & to say it annoys me is putting it politely.
I'm glad you understand Christianity the way you do but my non-Christianity
doesn't not stem from lack of forgiveness or lack of acceptance of the "Holy
Spirit". It stems from having found another system that simply works better
for me & the fact that Christianity was leading me on a road to destruction.
another message said something about Jesus saying contradictory things in
various parts of the Bible & other non cannonized gospels; to which I will say
simply, after Jesus's death many of his works & teachings where subverted by
some of his male disciples to their own ends. Keep in mind they didn't begin
to write down the texts until almost 200 years after he died & the
cannonization process didn't begin until much later. Yes there were written
documents of his doings & teachings before that probably even in his time but
it wasn't an organized & coordinated effort until much later. So there was
plenty of opportunity to contaminate what he supposedly did & said. The fact
that people still refuse to see the source of Judaism & Christianity, that is
largely stolen from other earlier religions & further that they still condemn
those religions as barbaric &/or savage, basically uncivilized, is what gets
me the most. The simple fact that world wide diversity of religious & non
religous beliefs has survived throughout human history proves that humanity as
a whole needs such diversity of belief. We need differents gods & goddesses
to serve different peoples needs & besides the world would be far to boring if
we all believed the same thing. Getting along together might be easier but I
for one would die of boredom very quickly. However the actual key to getting
along better is largely respect for the right of someone else to be different
& that is largely lacking in the way Christianity is currently practised by
the majority. People also are trying to maintain conformity saying it's more
expedient while largely failing to see the blessing of diversity.
Blessed Be;
Aedrienne
