good old days of the goddess culture? But, can we PLEASE come back to the here
and now and take it from here. If you had a time machine you could go back to
your good old days of goddess culture? - but I think that you are stuck here
in this patriarchial boat with us. The odds of the return of the Earth
Goddess are slim to none - maybe within your little circles of understanding
you will come to grips with that! However can we PLEASE work together to
make the patriarchy a uniarchy and not try for matriarchy - because matriarchy
implies exclusion of male participation - Reverse exclusion??
Because We need togetherness not more separatisim - Women would be no better
at matters then men are - you know why? Because the truth is we need EACH
OTHER male and women working together - that is fair/just/right -!
Just because generally being more nurturing is more of a female trait and
needing more power is more a male trait - does not mean that there are not men
who are nurturing and there are not women who seek power! Therefore, what
this tells us is that our own stereotyping and generalizing of males and
females is wrong and will get us no where - the answer does not lie in
reversal of gender roles or religious beliefs! We should view each other as
individuals - the way God views us :
equally as important, equally as powerful, equally as divine, equally as
capable of being nurturing and loving - the Earth really needs us - The Earth
does not need reverse discrimination and/or old goddess cultures, The Earth
needs our true equity - true love men and women at the healm - loving each
other as individual spirited children of Creation.

We can't go back to some matriarchy that existed thousands of years ago. I
find the prospect of matriarchy as distasteful as patriarchy. By matriot i
didn't mean someone who wanted matriarchy. I meant someone who is "gung
ho" about our planet as distinct from patriots who owe their primary
allegiance to a nation state.

The odds of the return of the Earth goddess aren't slim to none. They are
one hundred percent. The feminine face of god, as you call it, has always
been there, it is certainly there now, it is only up to us to recognize it.
The patriarchial boat is sinking,( Bill and Boris???) but thats ok, it got
us to the shore of a new global understanding. That's what i mean by
matriots, people who understand that we are one planet, and that this has
to be our primary allegiance. I think this is a relatively new POV, but
one that is growing rapidly.
Why did a patriarchial system come to replace a goddess oriented system?
Wouldn't it have been because of the eventual decadence or stagnation of
the goddess culture, just as the current patriarchial system is crumbling
becuase of its inability to deal with the new set of problems that has
arisen.
I don't like these "archy" words. I wonder about the derivation of these
words ( lost my dictioinaries in a house fire a few months back).
Matriarchy and patriarchy both sound archaic. Like they make us arch
rivals. Anyway, they don't sound friendly. I like the term dharmocracy,
from the sanskrit term dharma, which means, as near as i understand it, the
way the world is supposed to work. Like that spirit has a plan for the
planet and we are supposed to be finely tuned enough to understand our part
in this plan. I think this is pretty much the way people believed in the
goddess age. I think people spent a lot of time in meditation, tuning in on
the planetary wavelength. To me, that's what spirit it, its the
consciousness of the planet and of agencies beyond our ken that we make up
and are in no way paranormal or supernatural.
Anyway, the concept of one gender having it over the other to the point
where a culture is called "patriarchial" or "matriarchial" has got to be
wrong.
