Well, Angela, they live in the U.S.A., (Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson),
Vatican City (Pope John Paul II), in various and sundry Middle
Eastern cities (mullahs and rabbis) and even in India (brahmins),
and they can read every day what overpopulation is doing to this
planet, and choose to ignore it when issuing their sanctified
pronouncements to their obedient masses. When belief in a god
dies, the god dies (Odin and Zeus are good examples), so it
behooves them to keep their faithful breeding, for from their
fecundity flows the political power (votes) and economic power
(money) these leeches feed on. Their flock are also told to devalue
the Earth - that this is not our real home, but just a way station, a
vale of tears through which to pass on the way to a hoped-for
heaven - and this teaching inoculates them against ecological
concerns, including pollution and overpopulation, for it emphasizes
that Earth is free to be used and abused rather than cared for. Joe
