Hi! Joe you make a good point about them wanting power and preaching
overpopulation - There is always much support for ecological stewardship in
the Bible (I will look up the biblical verse that explains that we should not
lay waste to the Earth by overpopulating it - IT IS IN THERE!) They somehow
overlook that in their sermons!
What you are saying above is true and IS the MISUSE of POWER that is really
behind all this - eventhough they CLAIM to be speaking for God - the power
they want is what the Lord said IS mine and mine alone - we are JUST stewards
of this creation - we are equal to each other and the rest of creation. We
are co-defenders and co-creators with God - our arrogance and strive for power
has blinded us - and now it is time to open our eyes to that simple truth - I
agree that they misuse with their positions and call it God - I AGREE -
however, that does not mean that there is no God - that just means that they
are wrong - God is good all the time, anything else is a lie - we have failed
to see that! God created the Earth and it was good - God commissioned his Holy
Spirit to be with us -many things have happened to lead us down the wrong path
- away from the Spirit - we have been led to destroy the Earth in the name of
it being a temporary rest station - Blinded by greed and so-called progress!
Too many people wanting power - again the power that is God's and God's alone.
The covenant God made with us was not temporary but for all time - Now we pave
a new path of understanding back to our covenant and try to explain that this
is Eden and we as stewards - that's the goal worth achieving - any other goal
is humans trying to inflict their own ideologies on the world - the Lord said
"The Earth and everything in it is mine." Where do you say is the
misunderstanding? The Lord created the Earth - we are stewards - we love for
love sakes - anything else is in vein!
