Hi!

The fact that you are singling out religious sects =- says to me you don't get
it! Some Christians take the Lord in vain - everything is done in the name of
the Lord - including murder - WRONG - they are wrong - believe me there are
many Christians who do not take the Lord in vain - who love for love sakes -
and nothing bad would be done in the name of the Lord - grin and bear it - it
is not God's fault his word is not accepted at face value, that it is
misinterpreted and put to ill use. Please understand that "Love each other!"
Does not mean oppress each other, does not mean be cruel to each other, does
not mean insult each other - How these people misinterpret this command
baffles the $%^^& out of me! Yet they do! But do not blame God or Jesus for
this - placing the blame on the wrong party will never cure the malady.

Peace!
Angela

 the beautiful sister

 singing the uni

Hi! Will this is beautiful - I love your poetry. I have no problem referring
to the Earth as a mother, the sun as a brother, the moon as a sister, the
stars as uncles, whatever, the problem is referring to these CREATIONS as
CREATORS/DIETIES - they are not so why do it? How can you say the Earth is a
deity which creates - without the sun the earth's living green would not even
be green>? Without the moon, the waves would not move. How would rivers
form? Did we forget that - the Earth sustains life - what then creates life?
- Why wouldn't the Deity be responsible for the whole thing -
creator/creation, etc. Why would a deity depend on a cohert the sun for life?
The oneness of creation is Gods - One God! I do not agree that we should
embrace the worship of other Gods - I do agree that we should be tolerance the
diversity of the worship of that one God - by different cultures. The
diversity of human cultures on the Earth makes the world interesting and
intriguing to me - it does not divide us spiritually - we are one family -
when will we see that?

Peace!
Angela

Hi!

Marguerite, someone once told me that if you want to convince someone of your
view -you have to answer the all important question WHY? Now you want to
convince citizens of this Earth that killing the animals for greed and avarice
is bad - we are being bad - right? I agree - However, my answer to the
question WHY? is Because the parable of NOAH teaches us that the Animals are
also important to God and that with the covenant we are to be stewards not
destructionists.

++Angela, I find it truly hard to understand why you relate everything back
to the bible including the cruelty to animals by humans. Can't you
understand that the bible is a historical document? The bible is out of date
and idealistic.
People today commit gross indecencies towards animals and the environment.
Huge trees are being felled in one State of my country to make way for vineyards
and in other parts of my own state whole remaining Ecosystems are under
serious threat. Koalas and kangaroos and wallabies are next on the hit list.
Why?
Too many people and too many human interferences with the land = imbalance
I cannot understand your constant need to refer to the bible for answers to
all problems. The answers are not there and even if you could extrapolate
meanings from the bible to today's problems, your extrapolations will not
convince people to change their ways. This planet is sinking under a sea of
overpopulation, cruelty and devastation and pollution....I for one welcome
the demise of the human race, we do not deserve any human "stewardship" over
the animals that are left or the remains of the environment. Humans have
proven themselves the most destructive species ever created and now we seek
to "play God" by genetic manipulation of everything from animals to food as
a final
show of lack of respect and disregard of nature.

>>Now, you answer the question - WHY? Convincing others why they are wrong
to hurt the animals - what is your reason why - and please do not say
because pigs look intelligent - how does a creature look intelligent? How
would you define intelligence?

++ Angela, you are naive. People hurt each other without blinking (your
jails are full of drug offenders, murderers, rapists and child molesters).
People hurt animals because they believe they have the right to do so just
as they hurt each other. And as for "how does a pig look intelligent" ,
without going into the details of proven intelligence of pigs, if you have
ever looked into the eyes of any animal or person and made a connection with
that animal or person, you can see the soul of a person through their eyes.
Their eyes follow you as you move and gleam with life. Do you look straight
into another persons eyes when you speak to them? Do you see changes in
their manner and facial expressions? If you study any animal long enough ,
you will find that they have expressions and they can look happy and sad and
yes, intelligent.
Just look at the sad photos of monkey faces where the monkeys are used in
research. The worry shows all over their faces. If you can't see this then you
need to spend some time studying animals closely. Do you have any pets? Do
you spend time with them? I learn from the animals I care for and I try to
help as many animals as I can for they cannot speak and express their
feelings as we can. Many animals now are akin to the human slaves of old.
Borne into slavery to produce endless veal calves and milk or for unhealthy
McDonalds burgers (watch the rise in diabetes) and turkeys are purposely
borne so we can kill them for Thanksgiving. Sorry Angela but the why you ask
for is so easily explainable by humans inhumanity to humans and to all other
living creatures on this Earth.
Go look at the fear in the eyes of animals that are being dragged to slaughter,
you may see some comprehension there that you wished you hadn't seen.

Marguerite
