Oops! I guess I screwed up!  I assumed fertility meant humans (and in
my case dogs and cats) which is horribly wrong.  The last thing I want
is to decrease fertility in plants or insects.  I do believe that
mono-cultures or crops are bad for the environment and that humans
have become a very threatening mono-culture to the Earth.  Plus, we
are now breeding our favorite companions, dogs and cats, only to have
them killed by the millions in shelters.  "Selective fertility" sounds
too totalitarian, but we as humans have got to do something about our
populations growth rate!  Nan
