Hi all!
Although I absolutely think that we should be respectful of one another,
our diverse locations, experiences, beliefs, contributions and so forth,
I wonder if (in general - I am not referring to this list only)
condemnations that one is "attacking" or that one is "bitter" and/or
"angry" are actually well coded ways
of simply saying that "as a girl" one is not supposed to express
passionate arguements, or respond aggressively to a topic or situation, or
have any opinions on anything at all. I certainly do not expect to agree
with everything that is said here, and in reality I am glad for that,
because otherwise I would find this list boring and uninspiring. We can
disagree, and still be respectful of one another without resorting to
gendered notions of what the proper "female manner of response" should
be, no?.
