OK, you have, but you haven't read it in the original Arabic. OK, you have,
but you haven't read the right chapter. OK, you have, but you haven't read
the right commentary. OK, you have, but Nicole knows an unnamed woman in an
unnamed vilage in Somalia who agrees with her, and y o u a r e w r o n g.

Oh no,
you go right ahead and finish telling me about cultural retention among
African people - which you pointed out that I don't know and you do know. And
tell me more about how it is to be black in france and britain. These are
things I really need to know.
You also wrote " Selling people into slavery is not in itself evidence of
racism. The
Portuguese and Spanish sold whites into slavery too. "
Oh no, no, the portuguese and spanish weren't racist in their slave trading.
Let me try telling you what you would like to hear:
Oh susan, it is so insightful of you to know how it feels to be black in
britain and france. You are truly a sensitive person on the feelings and
experiences of black people. We are a grateful people that someone with your
concern exists. I appreciate how much your words have enlightened me. And
thank you for correcting me in my bizarre belief that the portuguese and
spanish were racist in their slave trading. Where could I have gotten the idea
that this was so? I mean, if you say it is not true, then what could I
possibly know or have experienced that would contradict that?
I couldn't possibly hope to attain your knowledge and experience of issues,
and I apologize for any time where I may have dared contradict you or joe dees
or chris.
So sorry ma'am, I promise to stay in my place next time.
Nicole
