Many feminists and philosophers have contributed suggestions about ways
they have addressed the issues on and since September 11, 2001 in their
classes and public addresses. I thought I would share some of the things I
have done. (a) One thing I did was to revise comments I had prepared for a
conference on Ethical Leadership, September 15, at my institution,
Macalester College to address these issues. (b) Another thing I did was to
help organize a Teach-In and an additional Public Forum on the events. At
the Teach-In, the four panelists (including myself) were asked to spend no
more than 5 minutes saying how thet brought their disciplinary training or
professional commitments to bear on discussions of these events. The
question I posed and answered was, "How has my training and professional
commitments as a philosopher helped me process the events on and since
September 11, 2001.

If you are interested in learning more about what I did regarding (a) and
(b), I have posted my "talks" on my web page. My web site is:
http://www.macalester.edu/~warren

One talk, (a), is a PowerPoint presentation; the other talk, (b), is an
outline of remarks I made. Given the intended nature of these two forums, I
did not, and did not want to, advocate for a particular position.
