Hi I have been analyzing old field seedling and sapling composition and trying to compare it with adjacent mature forest. I have decided on using % BA for the adjacent mature forest and % sapling abundance as measures. I am stymied because I have not found a statistical test that will handle composition data very well. (especially in situations with relatively high numbers of species).
