ESA Webcast Offers Q&A on the Educational and Scientific Uses of NEON

The Ecological Society of America (ESA) will host a webcast on the  
educational and scientific uses of the National Ecological  
Observatory Network (NEON) on March 21, 2007.  ESA Executive Director  
Katherine McCarter and Education Director Jason Taylor will open the  
session and brief attendees on the results of a recent ESA-sponsored  
survey focused on educational opportunities related to NEON science,  
including input from the ecological community on training needs and  
other issues associated with using NEON facilities and data.  NSF  
Assistant Director (Directorate of Biological Sciences) James P.  
Collins and NEON CEO David Schimel will comment on the survey results  
and discuss its implications on the NEON planning process.  This will  
be followed by an open discussion where the panel will respond to

10 minutes prior to the webcast

2. Click the Join button
3. Enter your name and email address
4. Enter the password: network
5. Click Submit to join the event
6. Follow the instructions in the dialog box to join the teleconference
7. Dial 1-800-213-4061 for the audio feed. Participant passcode = 540
