Kendra- Totally on topic as far as I am concerned!

I also am attending the meeting with a 4 year old. I don't know if we
are looking to swap childcare, but I would be interested in getting
together with folks with pre-schoolers to explore the local
playgrounds, have a little play group. If anyone is interested they
can write to me (off-list would be fine) and I could try to share
around contact info and any good resources for little kids in San Jose
that folks come up with.
