Sorry David, but your example here reminded me of a conversation I had many years ago with one of my cousins. He said he had the perfect solution to the brown snake problem in Hawaii: pigs. He said "Pigs will take care of any snake problem in a hurry!" I said, "Hawaii already has pigs and they're tearing down the mountainsides." So he said, "The solution to that, then, is alligators. They'll take care of any pig problem in a hurry!" I said, "So your solution is to make Hawaii look just like Florida?" (we didn't get into the details of how an aquatic alligator was supposed to take care of a terrestrial pig which was supposed to take care of an arboreal snake...)
