Osmar, I read about how the quiz was made and it admits that it is less accurate for Third World countries, in part for reasons similar to the ones you stated. Clearly, very accurate data are hard to come by. But, if you are poor in S=E3o Paulo, you have a much smaller imprint than if you were poor = in New York!
But, nonetheless, the idea is a good one and when judiciously used and considered, it does open eyes to problems. Try a little test - pretend you live with your same "standard" of living, but choose a place in the United States, Italy or England. Compare the results.
