I am also developing a research course for seniors in our high school's Global Environmental Science Academy. Our theme is urban environmental issues (and permacultural solutions). Our course is project-based and students work in small teams in the community with experiments collecting on-the-ground data, analyze it and make recommendations to the community based on their scientific findings. I also would appreciate any suggestions as to appropriate course materials - especially books, but also movies, etc. - that might be useful in such a course.
