Have you used long-term data in your research? Do you run/work at a long-running ecology project? Do you just like the idea of long-term data? On Monday 8/8 from 12PM-1PM (Room 6B, Convention Center) during the upcoming annual meeting of the Ecological Society of America, the Long-Term Studies Section will be holding a mixer/business meeting. The Long-term Studies Section of ESA has been largely inactive for a few years but we (Michael Vanni, chair and Morgan Ernest, vice-chair) see this as an opportunity to revitalize this Section of ESA. We are hoping to use this mixer/business meeting to bring together people with a common interest in the use of long-term data in ecology and to brainstorm ways that the section can be useful to this community of scientists. So please come, meet other people with a passion for long-term ecology, and help us figure out where we go from here!
If you have any questions, please email Morgan Ernest ([email protected])
