We are looking at revegetating scoured bedrock and cobblebars after removing
all mats of reed canary grass. We were hoping to manufacture or buy sedge mats
that would hold a substrate and plant propagules in a fabric 'sandwich', anchor
it to the rock substrate, and eventually capture more sediments. Has anyone had
experience with this kind of system? I've seen something like it in erosion
control mats, but the vegetation isn't already established.
thanks for suggestions.
