Our local bird population increases according to the volume of 
strawberries available. They have two dozen bushes of recurrants 
stripped before ripening at the moment. There are blackbirds nesting 
in the blackcurrants and doves in the bushes overhanging the 
strawberries. Nature is red in beak and claw and its all my berries
