Hi everybody,

Thanks to each and all that replied to my question about the "Edifact
QTY segment to express quantity deviation". It is very helpful.

In Japan, many of auto makers and auto parts makers are doing EDI
under "never explain, never apologize" theory about quantity change.

But, it is done by one of big auto parts makers in Japan, that sending
to their suppliers both of updated quantity and deviation from
previously sended messages. I am not sure why, but I suppose they
thought that sending additional information is more helpful for their
suppliers than nothing to say about quantity change.

Regards,
