In my experience trading partner agreeements are not commonly used at all.
Companies that have tried to use them routinely found that trying to get
signatures on them became an obstacle to implementation. As a matter of
fact, several years ago the U.S. government thought it was going to require
signed TP agreements from its suppliers and quickly discovered that this
became a show stopper, so they quickly abaondoned this requirement.

How commonly are Trading Partner Agreements used? It was my
understanding that these agreements are pretty common. We have a new
Trading Partner who will not sign one and the people trying to set up
the account insist it is something they have never heard of and nobody
they have talked to have ever heard of such a document.
