Ryan,
One of our customers has been running the Cleo bisync modem with translation
software on a Client PC for a number of years and has had no problems.
We are currently integrating the Cleo 3780Plus and internal bisync modem
into our EDI translator running on this customer's server, which makes it
executable via automated processes from any client on the system. We have
only faced challenges when we tried to execute 3780Plus programatically and
send and receive documents out of folders other than the one that 3780 Plus
is installed in, such as separate folders for each Trading Partner so we can
segregate the EDI mail by Trading Partner.
We were successful in doing this, however, because the support and
engineering folks at Cleo are very knowledgeable and have been very helpful
in supporting our effort. I can definitely recommend them to you, as well
as the product they offer today.
