I have been reminded by a long-time friend and participant of this list that
it would be a major loss to the global EDI community if participants on this
list were to become dispersed over several lists. I totally agree.

While I did not have any difficulty subscribing to the Yahoo list, I have
decided not to keep a Yahoo ID simply to assuage my own fears about unwanted
email.

However, I AM retaining my subscription to the new EDI-L list that Richard
Druckenmueller has established (Richard, forgive me if I've misspelled your
last name.)

Thus, at this time I encourage all of us to move to the Yahoo EDI-L list and
give it a chance to become the new home of this global EDI community.

What do you all say....let's get on with it and go! To demonstrate this
commitment to making the new list work for us, this will be my last post to
the EDI-L list hosted by UCOP and henceforth I will use the new Yahoo list
exclusively.

I'm shocked by the amount of people having problems signing up for the Yahoo
list. All I did was click on the link and a short time thereafter I received
a confirmation letter. I even used my regular email address. I'm willing to
give Yahoo a whirl. I'm in agreement with Richard Hurd, I have a Yahoo
account that I use occasionally and I have not received any Spam that was
not brought on my own actions.

-Good luck all
