That's a darn shame. I got the impression from you that Mercator was the best thing out there. But how many times can a company change its name (TSI, Mercator, Ascential - what is it today?) without people losing track of it and its products? I'm no marketing guy, but that last name is problematical; an English speaker is tempted to emphasize the first syllable in order to distinguish it from "essential."
Didn't Mercator cost hundreds of thousands of dollars - one of the priciest systems available? And now its customers are stranded up a creek without a paddle? So, tying together an inexpensive translator like Emanio's Trading Partner PC with chewing gum, bailing wire and Perl is sounding better and better. William J. You can't buy it, they won't well it, there are no parts available, and you can't afford to hire one of the three or so mechanics left who understand it. The sad part is that they seem to have self-immolated themselves. As for the roses, didn't you look outside? I left them on the stoop this morning ... perhaps your wife thought that they were for her? Or from you?
