Refreshing, indeed!! Of course, the other vendors will claim that the personal touch is needed to ensure you understand their "value proposition" and fully appreciate the "ROI." Probably for that reason, they keep pricing a secret until they've "sold" you on it.
Gosh, I already have practically all the information I need if I were in the market for a translator: lots of customers who rave about Softshare Delta - and a concrete price I can understand. By the way, would folks mind posting the prices of various e-business suites on EDI-L? I keep bandying about numbers like "half a million" bucks for some of these packages. Those are numbers I've heard thrown about by others. Is this stuff really that expensive? And if you wanted technical support, would you have to pay even more? William J. Sure is refreshing to see. If they all did, it would sure make David Pinzon's job easier. (I know some of the smaller ones do: XMLLinguist, XtremeEDI, etc.) David, Feel free to share the results of your search if you will... We are only as good as our customers who all demand excellence for a reasonable price. Now on to the reason for my post, I don't want to bother you with anymore details about Softshare Delta (which is indeed Windows-based), but I do want to correct a statement made by Ricardo. Since our pricing is public information on the Web (http://www.softshare.com/software/delta/pricing/) I thought I should mention that Softshare Delta is not $6 to $10K but rather $4200 for the Standard version and $6200 for the complete Enterprise version. While the runtime license of Delta starts at $1800. I don't know the price for Zipper since I do not believe that it has been posted yet, so I don't know if this is small peanuts, but that is for others to decide anyway. Furthermore, for those clients seeking to do only "a few transactions from a couple of TPs", we offer Softshare Vista with a starting point of $295 (for more pricing please visit: http://www.softshare.com/software/vista/pricing.asp). Again, thanks to all for your feedback, suggestions and ideas that keep making our products better. Best regards, Colette Williams Softshare, Inc. (800) 346-6703 .
