Chris,

I have used TLE and Softshare ECS and Delta.

The only drawback to using Softshare may be that it doesn't cost enough;
Your IT and company management may not take it seriously. We only purchased
it over the more expensive, more advertised, more well-known brands because
it was all we could afford.

What a break for us! Softshare has proven to be the biggest boon to our
operation, transforming the company's image of EDI, enabling us to leverage
my function enormously over our previous capability. Delta's mapping
capability is unmatched by anything I have seen in TLE, Gentran, and a few
other packages. The back-room scheduling, communications, and control
capabilities of ECS are some of the best, and are improving continuously.
The reliability of the software is compromised only by the fact that it runs
on Windows server. The customer service afforded by Softshare gets rave
reviews from their customers. Unlike some of the other brands of lower-cost
software, Softshare offers a complete solution, they are not niche players.

I highly recommend them. Please feel free to contact me off-line of you
have any specific questions. Note I am a customer of Softshare, Inc. I do
not resell their products.

Subject: [EDI-L] EDI Software. Your thoughts.

Greetings everyone,

My company is new to EDI and we are looking to get up and running this
year. With that said, I have been researching mapping software that
would be a good fit for what we want to do, and can fit our budget.
So far we have looked at Inovis TrustedLink, Softshare ECS and Delta,
and 1EDISource EDI Complete. Do any of you use one of the software
packages mentioned? If so, what are your thoughts on what they do
well, and what areas they fall short in? Any other recommendations on
mapping software? I work for a retail footwear chain and we will be
looking to trade 850, 856, and 810 right away, but eventually
integrating 832, 846, 855, and 860 into our EDI process in the future.

Regards,

Chris
