Ravindra, The answer is: it depends.
You haven't indicated which standard or version of (EDI) you are talking about. As you are no doubt aware, there is a DTM segment in X12 standards and there is a DTM segment in EDIFACT standards (at least). There are three situations I can think of: 1. If it is X12, yes, it is possible for DTM+2 to exist. It's called an error and should be rejected by a 997 since either the second or third element is missing. 2. If it is _valid_ X12, then no, DTM+2 should not appear by itself (see point 1 above). 3. If it is EDIFACT, then yes, it is possible for DTM+2 to exist. (Although it might not mean anything, the segment definition up through version D.05B does not require any of the other sub-elements to appear.) Hope that helps.
