I would say that _anything_ is possible.  

Normally, the DTM_01 is the qualifier, and the DTM_02 is the date.  The 
Qualifier indicates what kind of date it is...

I have never seen any TP ask for DTM_01 and not DTM_02.  In fact, this would 
probably cause a rejection on most translators...  If an element is defined as 
a qualifier, then the data must ALSO be sent.

But it is certainly _possible_....  but wrong ;-)

Are you programming a translator, reviewing existing mappings or looking for 
common usage?
