spEDI*map is a good tool for mapping flat files to flat files, but he might be under significant software bloat when he has to run the data through his edi translator (the "map" process in eVision) just to do this non-edi activity. In his case, I'd probably recommend TIE Commerce's Integrator software instead. It's datatype agnostic, and wouldn't need a full blown EDI translator standing idle in the corner to do these data transformations as it's self supportive. It'd probably be cheaper too.
